Escorted jeep safaris are available for visiting Bijrani, Jhirna and Durga Devi areas of the Jim Corbett National Park. The safari is essentially for four hours, starting either at around 0600 Hours for morning shift or at around 1330 Hours for the evening one. The visitors are accompanied by trained driver and guide in an open Gypsy. As only limited number of jeeps are allowed into the park in a given shift, it is advisable to get the safari pre-booked.

The following information is required to facilitate the jeep safari advance bookings.
Sitabani forest, at around 40 minutes drive, is the place traditionally associated with Ramayana, as it is believed that Sita was exiled here. The virgin and the thick forest offer incredible wildlife sightings and is a bird watchers paradise. There is also an ashram tucked away in the jungle. The jeep safari to Sitabani forest can be arranged at any time during the day and does not require any prior bookings. Cost : Rs.4,000 per jeep (maximum of 06 Pax) for a 4 hour safari.
A canter safari to the Dhikala zone of the national park is available from Ramnagar. The Corbett Jeep safari is for six hours, starting either at around 0600 Hours or at around 1200 Hours. Day jeep safaris are not allowed in Dhikala. Canter can be booked 30 days in advance for Indian nationals and 90 days in advance for foreign nationals. We shall require name, age and gender of all travellers and a photo-id number of any one of the guests to facilitate the bookings. In case of foreign nationals, passport numbers of all the guests shall be additionally required. The relevant photo-id will be required to be carried in original for the verifications.
Cost : Rs.1,500 per adult / Rs.375 per child of 18 years or below for Indian nationals / Rs.3,000 per person for foreign nationals.
Note : Canter safari starts and terminates at Jim Corbett Ramnagar; if transportation is required there will be an additional charge of Rs.1,000 per jeep.
Whole of forest area in Sitabani is open round the year for Safari tour and there is absolutely no limit of vehicles entering the area. Corbett national park authority will not offer the permit for the entry into zone. Sitabani forest department makes provides the permit for jeep safari.
